Justin Green, who effectively created the American autobiographical comic book with his landmark 1972 independent comic, Binky Brown Meets the Holy Virgin Mary, which directly inspired Green's roommate at the time, Art Spiegelman, into creating Maus, has passed away at the age of 76.
