Actual Budget For The Avengers Revealed? |

A couple months ago, back in May, it was reported that Marvel Studios' Joss Whedon-directed ensemble film, The Avengers, would have an estimated budget of $170 million, spending about $30 million alone in Ohio, where production is currently underway. However, in a recent interview excerpt with the Cinematographer for the highly-anticiated film, Seamus McGarvey, via Fuji Film from International Exposure magazine, the budget listed seems more plausible.
Armagh-born McGarvey - currently in New Mexico shooting a $260m Marvel Comics' extravaganza, The Avengers - has come a long way for the kid who first got his film break when as a student at the local Christian Brothers school, he was given a Super 8 camera by an inspirational teacher.
Now, doesn't $260,000,000 seem a bit more plausible, compared to the budget of the studios' recent films - Iron Man 2 ($200m), Thor ($150m), and Captain America: TFA ($140m)? And for the sake of Read more: |
