In an interview with SuperHeroHype!, Alex Kurtzman discusses his involvement with Sony Pictures' already announced sequel to The Amazing Spider-Man. He said that the main reason that he and co-writer Roberto Orci (whom Kurtzman has worked with on various projects in the past) jumped at the chance of writing the Spider-Man sequel was because they were impressed with what director Marc Webb has done with this summer's anticipated blockbuster. "We jumped on (it) because we were so impressed with the movie and what Marc Webb has done with the movie," he said. "I just adore Matt Tolmach, who is the producer of the movie, and everyone at Sony has been so supportive of us. We felt really good about it and really passionate about it.
