Only an hour or so ago Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson was confirmed to star as Hercules in Brett Ratner's take on The Thracian Wars, and now we have news of another CBM role on the horizon. But this won't be of the superhero variety. Deadline report that Johnson will star in the "intense action thriller" Ciudad..
Ciudad is based on the upcoming Oni Press graphic novel that the Russo Brothers co-wrote with Ande Parks. Set in one of the most dangerous and corrupt cities in the world, the thriller will star Johnson as a black market mercenary hired by a Brazilian drug lord to rescue his kidnapped daughter.
Something tells me that won't be too much of a stretch for him to play! This will be Joe and Anthony Russo's first foray into the action genre.
