The Hollywood Reporter reveals that Anthony Head - seen in The Iron Lady and the TV series Buffy The Vampire Slayer - has been cast as 'Chiron' in Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Sea of Monsters, a sequel to the 2010 fantasy film The Lighting Thief and an adaptation of the second book in the popular Percy Jackson novel series. Chiron, who is in charge of Camp Half-Blood, was played by Pierce Brosnan in the first film. Head joins returning cast members Logan Lerman, Alexandra Daddario, Brandon T. Jackson and Jake Abel, as well as new additions such as Nathan Fillion (Hermes).
The first title in the franchise grossed $226.5 million at the worldwide box office in 2010. Thor Freudenthal (Diary Of A Wimpy Kid) will direct the sequel.
