Promoting his latest indie film titled 10 Years, actor Anthony Mackie talked with CS.net/SHH a bit more regarding his role in Marvel's Joe & Anthony Russo-directed sequel, Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Precisely sharing how he's preparing for the role of Sam Wilson, better known as Falcon, Mackie told the blog that he'll soon begin training, even though filming doesn't begin until half a year from now.
In addition, The Hurt Locker actor revealed that he has stacks of 1970 ‘Captain America’ comics by Steve Englehart, who truly helped identify the Falcon. Adding that he finds the “fact that Sam Wilson moved to L.A. to become a drugdealer and a pimp” interesting, Mackie's uncertain how much of that backstory will make it on the big screen.
