After Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows Part 2 earned over $169 million in its opening weekend, it seems inevitable that the film would continue its reign. Apparently not, as Marvel Studios' latest film, Captain America: The First Avenger, managed to take out the Boy Wizard quite easily, earning nearly $66 million in its opening weekend (a similar number to Marvel's previous film, THOR). This weekend, Marvel Studios put Captain America head-to-head with the final film in Warner Bros.' Harry Potter franchise, a move that some considered risky. Turns out, Marvel had nothing to worry about: Captain America looks ready to rake in roughly $66m in its first three days of release.
