| BOX OFFICE: DREDD 3D Takes The #1 Spot In The UK |

DREDD 3D has become the first 18 certificate movie (that's equivalent to an R-Rating for those of you over in the US) to take the #1 spot in the UK since 2010's Saw 3D. According to The Hollywood Reporter, it successfully held off competition from other big releases such as Anna Karenina, Lawless and That's My Boy. The Pete Travis helmed adaptation of the 2000 AD comic - starring Karl Urban as the iconic character - earned a little over £1 million ($1.65 milliion) in total.
