| BOX OFFICE: LOOPER Takes #1 At The Worldwide Box Office; Set For #4 In North America |

Last week, we brought you the news that Looper had earned an incredible $24 million in China; a total which actually surpassed the amount made in North America. Since then, there have been a few conflicting reports, with one news agency in China even claiming that the film took a total of only $5 million over the course of the weekend! Regardless, is reporting that the film is now #1 worldwide with a cume of around $62 million ($37 million of which comes solely from international territories). In Russia, it took $4.5 million, $3.9 million in the UK and $3 million in Australia. However, it's unlikely that it will hold on to the top spot with Liam Neeson starrer Taken 2 hitting most theatres across the world this weekend. As for how Looper is currently performing stateside, it made $3.5 million yesterday for a predicted total of $11.6 million.
