BOX OFFICE: Marvel's DOCTOR STRANGE Conjures Up Over $9 Million From Thursday Night Previews |

As expected, Marvel's next blockbuster is off to a flying start in North American theaters. Doctor Strange took in $9.4 million from Thursday night screenings, putting it ahead of its fellow MCU flicks Ant-Man ($6.4m) and Thor: The Dark World ($7.1m), but behind Guardians of the Galaxy ($11.2m) and Captain America: Civil War ($25m).
The Benedict Cumberbatch-led fantasy adventure was initially expected to make around $75 million on its opening weekend, but analysts are now predicting that it'll be closer to $80-$95m. The film has already accumulated $133m internationally.
