Brad Bird's Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol has remained #1 at the US box office, reaching $100M on Thursday and $200M internationally on Friday, bringing its current global total to over $300+M so far. That means the movie starring Tom Cruise and Jeremy Renner is well on its way to being the most successful instalment of the franchise yet, with analysts predicting yet another strong weekend. After a soft opening, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows is also picking up speed after passing the $100M mark earlier this week. Whether what it makes overseas will be enough to ensure a third movie in the Guy Ritchie helmed series is unclear but we'll be sure to keep you updated.
