| BOX OFFICE: PROMETHEUS Looks Set To Dominate The Weekend With $68 Million |

Deadline reports that Ridley Scott's Prometheus is set to storm the North American box office this weekend with an impressive $26M opening today and a $68M weekend in total. Some analysts are even predicting $70M+. The 3D sci-fi epic took $3.561M at midnight screenings and has so far earned a total of $51M overseas. It was thought that the R-Rated movie would struggle to topple DreamWorks Animation's Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted, but that is now likely to open with (an equally impressive) $18M Friday and $57M weekend.
