| BOX OFFICE: TOTAL RECALL Remake Looks Set To Open With A Disappointing $20 Million |

Exhibor Relations reports that Sony Pictures' Total Recall looks set to earn a disappointing total of less than $25 million when it opens in North America this weekend. Despite the fact that it comes over two decades since the original was released in multiplexes (starring Arnold Schwarzenegger) it simply doesn't seem as if there is enough interest for the remake to regain its $200 million budget. While the site speculates that it will end up crashing and burning at the box office in a similar style financial failures John Carter and Battleship, it's worth remembering that both of those ended up performing much better overseas and the same could happen with Total Recall.
