BOX OFFICE: Transformers: Dark Of The Moon Rockets Straight To #1; Green Lantern STILL Struggling! |

As expected, Transformers: Dark of the Moon did well on Friday, taking in $33.5 million, after making over $64 million since opening on Tuesday. With a total of over $100 million expected throughout the weekend, and $185 million predicted after the 4th of July, this is yet another huge success in the franchise, despite being a slight drop on what Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen made back in 2009.
As Deadline report, "Projections are for foreign to close in on $200M through Monday for a $385 global cume in its first 7 days since sequels do better overseas than they do domestic." Either way, it seems hard to believe that Paramount won't want to start work on a fourth instalment. (especially now they'll no longer be distributing any of Marvel Studios' movies following Captain America: The First Avenger)
