I guess this movie just wants to be made. Stretch Armstrong was originally part of a series of properties spawned from the Hasbro-Universal pact back in 2008. But after several release dates and even having Twilight wolf-boy Taylor Lautner attached, the studio abandoned the project only to have it snapped up by Relativity in January. Now according to THR, Breck Eisner (The Crazies, Sahara) is in talks to direct.

(Beverly Hills, Calif.) January 30, 2012 –Relativity Media has partnered with global branded play company Hasbro, Inc. [NASDAQ-HAS] to develop and produce a live-action tent-pole film based on Stretch Armstrong, the iconic action hero figure launched in the 1970s, it was announced today by Relativity’s Co-President, Tucker Tooley and Hasbro’s President and CEO, Brian Goldner.
