Comic book writer Brian Michael Bendis has been deeply involved with Marvel's Cinematic Universe ever since it debuted with Iron Man (2008), for which he wrote the post-credits sequence that introduced Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury. While still in the mix with the many films that're forthcoming, Bendis and artist Steve McNiven were recently announced as headliners for the Marvel NOW! comic series, Guardians of the Galaxy.
