Bryan Singer Wants a Crack at Bringing STAR TREK Back to Television |

Star Trek fans haven't had a product on the air since 2005, when Voyager went off the air. While J.J. Abrams has breathed new life into the film franchise, no one as of yet has been able to resuscitate the brand for the small screen.
AICN has been contacted by Bryan Fuller (Pushing Daisies) who informs the site that:
the two Bryans, who have long (but separately) contemplated new “Star Trek” TV series, have discussed the possibility of pooling their resources to take a new corner of Gene Roddenberry’s multiverse to the small screen.
Fuller is currently the producer on NBC's The Munsters remake, which was recently retitled Mockingbird Lane. And Bryan Singer is on board as the director of the crucial pilot episode. If the show is successful it will go a long way to creating the type of confidence CBS would need in order to greenlight another Star Trek adventure.
