SCIFI MEDIA ZONE: In this film we're going to see Captain America in two VERY different eras. Given the changes in society since World War II, do you think he stands for something different in today's world than he might have back then? JOE JOHNSTON: I think Captain America stands for exactly the same things he stood for then...he's just standing against different enemies. Steve Rogers says it best. "I don't like bullies, I don't care where they're from". Cap is about justice, and not specifically justice as defined by an American perspective. He's 100% American but he can see past the flag when he needs to. He also has no problem breaking the rules to make the right thing happen.
