CAPTAIN AMERICA's Star Spangled Man Considered For 'Best Original Song' At Oscars |

Deadline has revealed the full list of original songs being considered for a nomination at the 2012 Academy Awards. While not the most exciting of categories for non-music lovers, you may be interested to see that Captain America: The First Avenger's "Star Spangled Man" is being considered. A catchy song which served an important purpose in the Marvel Studios movie, it's hard to argue that it's not deserving of a nomination if nothing else.
Beverly Hills, CA – Thirty-nine songs from eligible feature-length motion pictures are in contention for nominations in the Original Song category for the 84th Academy Awards®, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced today.
