| Comic Book Movies Triumph At The Jameson Empire Awards 2012 |

Hosted by Empire's Chris Hewitt and Lauren Laverne, the Jameson Empire Awards 2012 (which took place earlier today at London's Grosvenor House Hotel) have seen comic book movies and their stars triumph. It will more than likely come as no surprise that the winners were actually selected by film fans, and the 17th annual awards ceremony has seen Thor chosen as Best Sci-fi/Fantasy, Tom Hiddleston as Best Male Newcomer and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 as Best Film, to name just a few. X-Men: First Class star Michael Fassbender was also honoured with the "Best Hero" award after a year of stellar performances which also included the critically acclaimed Shame.
