When the story of Wolverine's (a.k.a. James Howlett) early life was finally revealed all the way back in 2001's Origin miniseries, one of the main mysteries was the identity of 'Dog Logan'. We know that he's the older half-brother of the X-Man - they share the same father who Wolverine killed when his mutant powers manifested - but unlike in the 2009 film, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, he didn't grow up to become Sabretooth. Scarred from an altercation with his brother, 'Dog' is actually responsible for Wolverine accidentally killing Rose (if you don't know who that is, things start getting a little complicated from this point, so you may want to head on over to Wikipedia), although none of this has been fully explored despite him regaining his memories after House of M.
