It's expected that given the subject matter, the film will have a hard R-rating. The lead role of Ig Perrish is said to be a definite departure from Radcliffe's most famous role, Harry Potter. "“It’s a very, very different type of part than anything I’ve done before,” said Radlciffe. He goes on to describe the film as "“deeply emotional and also incredibly outrageous in some ways. To play somebody who, in the midst of a time in his life of great turmoil anyway, undergoes this horrific transformation into a devil character — it was very, very exciting.”
Horns is a 2010 dark fantasy novel by Joe Hill and is the author's second published novel. The novel also incorporates elements of contemporary fantasy, crime fiction, and Gothic fiction.
