David Fincher Says The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo Will Earn It's R Rating |

With all this excitement for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo there is of course anticipation for the sequel. The second book in Stieg Larsson's trilogy, The Girl Who Played with Fire, is in the works. According to Amy Pascal, the Co-Chairman of Sony Pictures, Steven Zaillian, who worked on the first script is just putting the final touches on the script for the sequel. Rooney Mara and Daniel Craig are signed on for the two potential sequels, but David Fincher is not. Would Fincher be interested in directing the sequel? He says, "Not averse to the idea. Looking about as far into the future as dinner." Amy Pascal on the other hand says, "My guess is David will be there too."
As for the chances of winning any awards, Fincher doesn't believe its possible, he says, "There's too much anal rape."
