DEADPOOL Screenwriters Say Sequel Is Still On Track To Shoot This Year |

Recent comments from Ryan Reynolds about the state of the Deadpool sequel's screenplay and his assertion that cameras wouldn't begin rolling until the script was in place that all interested parties were pleased with led to a bit of panic about whether the film would be completed in time for its (unconfirmed) 2018 release. It seems you can put those fears to rest as screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick have informed Deadline that they believe the project is still on track to begin filming later this year.
"Yeah, it’ll be a solo movie. It’ll be populated with a lot of characters, but it is still Deadpool’s movie, this next one. We’re pushing forward very hard.
