While Sony released the first official still for the Marc Webb-directed Spider-Man reboot, featuring actor Andrew Garfield in costume along with the mysterious metal discs on his inner wrists, it only hinted that the new film may be using the the old mechanical system of web-shooting used in the early comics.
Well, chatting on the red carpet of the 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards, MTV caught up with actress Emma Stone, who of course is portraying the love interest 'Gwen Stacy' in the Spidey film. Speaking vaguely, the actress essentially confirms the "mysterious metal discs" as in fact, a device.
While this confirms theres some sort of mechanicalism going on here, we don't now to what extent. So, currently in the midst of filming, Spider-Man returns to theaters in 3D July 3, next year! What do you think of the new direction? |
