Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is a 2009 parody novel by Seth Grahame-Smith. It is a mashup combining Jane Austen's classic 1813 novel 'Pride and Prejudice' with elements of modern zombie fiction, actually crediting Austen as co-author. In case you're wondering what makes this a comic book movie, May 2010 saw the publication of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies: The Graphic Novel with acclaimed comic writer Tony Lee adapting the text and art by Cliff Richards. Lionsgate has tapped Emma Stone as its Elizabeth Bennet for "Pride, Prejudice and Zombies."
Craig Gillespie is directing. Seth Grahame-Smith, who penned the original tome, is writing the script with Marti Noxon.
