The death of Gwen Stacy is perhaps the most iconic and memorable death in comic book history, and one of the few which hasn't seen the character brought back a few decades later (unlike Bucky and Jason Todd). Talking to IGN Movies, Emma Stome was asked how she would feel about Gwen being allowed to live in this planned series of films and revealed that she's not a fan of that idea at all.
"I hope not. I think that's a hugely important part of her story and of this incarnation of Spider-Man. I think that was very important to everybody.
