Every Episode Of JESSICA JONES Season 2 Will Be Directed By Women |

The first season of Jessica Jones was met with widespread critical acclaim, but despite the fact that it featured a female lead and covered sensitive topics like sexual assault, only around a third of the thirteen episodes had a woman behind the camera. That all looks set to change when season two arrives though as showrunner Melissa Rosenberg revealed during the Transform Hollywood Symposium that Netflix will be hiring female filmmakers for every single instalment of the series.
Jessica Jones has already added a woman to its creative team in the form of new writer and executive producer Raelle Tucker (The Returned). Marvel Studios meanwhile is currently on the hunt for a female director for Captain Marvel.
