Duncan Jones will follow up Warcraft with a noir-ish sci-fi thriller set in futuristic Berlin, Mute. The story follows a bartender (Alexander Skarsgård) who teams up with a pair of surgeons (Paul Rudd and Justin Theroux) to track down his missing girlfriend.
Mute is the second part of Jones' trilogy which kicked-off with Moon, and is apparently set in the same universe. There's a definite Blade Runner vibe from these first images, which you can check out below along with the synopsis.
Set in the near-future, Leo (Alexander Skarsgård) is a bartender living in the pulsing city of Berlin. Because of a childhood accident, Leo lost the ability to speak and the only good thing in his life is his beautiful girlfriend Naadirah (Seyneb Saleh).
