Who wouldn't want to get their hands on something as incredible as the first sketch of the ninja turtles? Well, maybe not Michael Bay, because they don't look alien enough. Just think, this Kevin Eastman doodle, that was inked by Peter Laird has spawned a gabillion dollar franchise. Comic books, video games, television shows and movies, all derived from some late night goofing around, just plain remarkable. If you're interested Heritage Auctions is hosting the event and the current bid price is at measly $6,500.

"Late in November 1983, Peter Laird and I were sharing a studio (our living room) in Dover, New Hampshire. One work night, in an effort to make Peter laugh, I drew a sketch of this character I called a 'Ninja Turtle' and threw it onto Peter's desk.
