Though we do tend to report on actors/actresses responding to fan suggestions that they should play certain characters, it's admittedly not really news, and more of a topic to promote discussion - however, when someone actively campaigns for a role it's a slightly different story.
Ghostbusters star Leslie Jones has said that she'd love to play a superhero in the past, and it looks like she has her sights set on the upcoming Deadpool sequel.

Jones is obviously joking about the character, but we think she'd make a fine addition to the cast. Sometimes these things do wind up panning out, so you never know!
Deadpool 2 is targeting a January 2018 release date, with David Leitch replacing Tim Miller behind the camera.
