Who is GREEN GOBLIN?
The GREEN GOBLIN is NORMAN OSBORN a Marvel Comics supervillain. The character was created by writer Stan Lee and artist Steve Ditko, and first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #14 (July 1964).
First Appearance
Osborn adopts the bizarre identity of the GREEN GOBLIN, based on the monster he feared in his childhood, with the goal of becoming boss of the city's organized crime. He intends to cement his position by defeating the city's superhero Spider-Man.
GREEN GOBLIN was one of the first villains to know the secret identity of Spider-man. He use this knowledge to make life more difficult for Spider-man. One of this instance is by kidnapping Spider-man's girlfriend, Gwen Stacy, whom the Goblin planned to kill by throwing her off the Brooklyn Bridge.
