To begin with, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1" has been nominated in eight categories for this year's Baftas (essentially the British version of the Oscars): Makeup and Hair, Special Visual Effects, Sound, Editing, Costume Design, Production Design, Cinematography, and Original Music.
It will battle it out against such CBMs as Iron Man 2, Kick-Ass, and Tron: Legacy for a place in the final five of each category.
Secondly, it's been confirmed that work will soon begin on the Deathly Hallows Part 2 soundtrack. In a podcast with The Guardian, Alexandre Desplat (who also scored for Part 1) revealed he would be returning to production very soon, commenting that it was very difficult work but well worth it.
