With the news that Andy Serkis will return for The Hobbit, more news comes in that Ian McKellen has signed on for the two-film adaptation as well. Below, Mckellen writes the following statement from his official site:
All I had to decide was what to do with the time that is given me.
I’m 71 and fit: though at my age who knows what accident is 'round the next corner?
