Naomie Harris one of the stars of Skyfall has let slip that the guiding force behind the Bond franchise is already meeting with potential Daniel Craig replacements. The actress confirmed that Idris Elba met with Bond producer Barbara Broccoli regarding the role.
In case you don't know who the Broccolli's are, back in 1964, Albert "Cubby" Broccoli produced the first film adaptation of Ian Fleming's James Bond series and the Broccolli family has controlled the franchise ever since---every script, director and lead actor needs their approval. So news that Idris Elba has met with one of the members of that family, Barbara Broccolli, means that things may be trending upward when it comes to his chances of playing James Bond although he'll have to wait a while as Craig has signed on for 2 more installment in the franchise.
