At WonderCon, Singh was told producer Mark Canton response to the news was that he yelled out a window in excitement, to which the literally fast-speaking director mused, "He probably would have because he yelled at me many times before that saying, 'Why? Why this guy?'"
As Singh explains it, when he cast Cavill as the demi-god Theseus, he needed someone who could change the nature of their performance along with a script still in evolution.
