When we think about the female superheroes (which we do rather often here at SuperHeroStuff)the first image that comes to almost every man's mind is Supergirl. Some of us know her history others just know she's, well, uh SUPER! According to Wiki Supergirl is a female counterpart to the DC Comics Superman. As his cousin, she shares his super powers and vulnerability to Kryptonite. She first appeared in the Action Comics comic book series and later branched out into animation, film, television, and merchandising. In May 2011, Supergirl placed 94th on IGN's list of the Top 100 Comic Book Heroes of All Time.
Of course, you can't think of superhu"wo"mens without Batgirl entering the picture. In this case Batgirl is not a relative of Batman nor necessarily wanted by Batman.
