Outside of being linked to Iron Man over a decade ago, Tom Cruise has primarily stayed away from superhero movies and while that shouldn't come as a big surprise to anyone who's followed his illustrious career, it does the beg the question of why.
Speaking with Jimmy Kimmel last night, the 3x Academy Award-nominee, when asked whether he's ever had a serious conversation with either Marvel or DC to star in one of their films, replied with a relatively firm no and when pressed on whether those kinds of films even interest him, he explained: "Look, I really enjoy those films, I enjoy them, but I make the Missions and the kind of Reacher... just different kinds of movies."
