Josh Brolin Confirmed To Star In Oldboy Remake! |

Deadline is reporting that Josh Brolin - who recently finished filming for the third Men In Black film - has officially been cast in the lead role of the upcoming remake of Oldboy, a 2003 South Korean film based off of a manga series. Renown director will direct the remake, which is set to begin filming next March. Brolin has been rumored for the lead role for a while, but now we have official word of his signing on to do the film.
Josh Brolin was rumored to be on the short list to star in ’s Oldboy, a remake of the cult 2003 Korean revenge thriller from Park Chan-wook. Now it’s official: Brolin will topline the Mandate Pictures redo, which begins production in March. It looks like he’ll squeeze in Oldboy before shooting Jason Reitman’s Labor Day opposite Kate Winslet; that movie is set to begin production in June.
