Speaking with Collider while promoting The Bourne Legacy, producer Frank Marshall gives an update on Jurassic Park 4, which has been in some form of development for several years. During the interview, Marshall reveals when we should expect to see the fourquel in theaters. “I would say that it will be on the screen within two years.” This goes in line with what Steven Spielberg (who will produce the film) said at last year's Comic-Con, where he revealed that they were aiming to release Jurassic Park 4 within 2-3 years.
Marshall went on to confirm that Universal is eying a summer release for the movie due to its being a “popcorn movie”, while also stating that it’s a sequel (rather than a reboot, which is what has been rumored in the past).
