Mathew Vaughn has become something of a talking point to say the least here on CBM. His honest, and outspoken(cocky?) attitude have won him many fans, but also the ire of some who believe that he might be TOO interested in doing his own thing while not being faithful enough to the comics. Anyway, whichever side of the argument you come down on, to deny that the man is a talented and exciting director would be folly.
