Kevin Fiege Talks Captain America's Shield And Developing The Costume! |

In a recent issue of UK's Total Film Magazine, several details and interviews from the Brits' set visit of Marvel and Joe Johnston's much-anticipated Captain America: The First Avenger film are revealed. And one of those many interviews conducted was with Kevin Feige, head honcho of Marvel Studios, in which he speaks on the first avenger's mighty shield.
"We didn't want to reinvent it, just make it worthy of being in the movie," Kevin Feige says regarding Cap's mighty shield. "People expect us to take something that's in the comics and give it a little more texture & detail."
"The costume was in the works for a long, long time," says Fiege. "We knew that in the period setting we wanted to have something with the silhouette of the superhero costume, but wasn't made out of foam latex or CG. It had to look modern and heroic, but also of the period. So Read more: |
