Kirby Estate Fires Back at Marvel PDF Print E-mail

Now that the appeals process has started for the Kirby Estate's claim against Marvel concerning copyright for characters such as the X-Men, The Avengers, Hulk, Thor, and the Fantastic Four, lawyer Marc Toberoff is playing for keeps. The following statement released by Toberoff reveals that Stan Lee actually threatened his brother Larry by insinuating that he would lose his Spider-Man newspaper gig if he didn't testify against the Kirby Estate. This is certainly getting ugly for everyone involved and you have to wonder how this will eventually (if it really will) affect the comic buyers opinion of Marvel and ultimately Stan Lee. Hopefully this thing will solved relatively quickly so comic fans and movie fans can enjoy new Marvel movies without this hanging over everyone.
