Normally on LOOKING BACK, we examine movies that almost happened or movies that were originally intended to be something entirely different from the finished product. We’ve looked at “almost movies” based on character such as Lobo, Namor and a host of “almost” Batman and Wonder Woman movies. The key thing about all the movies we look at in LOOKING BACK is that they all reached a certain level of development; sometimes scripts were written, directors were hired, and even actors were brought on board. Well for this installment, we’re going to deviate from that formula and look at a movie that got absolutely nowhere. But man…if it had… we’d be looking at a dramatically different superhero movie landscape and maybe even a different line-up in Joss Whedon’s Avengers.
