The media has been all over Miles Morales ever since the new Spider-Man was first teased by the House of Ideas. Everyone from Bill O’Reilly to Donald Glover has weighed in on why the time was right or wrong for a minority Spider-Man. Regardless of whether you’re a supporter or a naysayer, what’s undeniable is that Brian Michael Bendis is under extreme pressure to deliver. The new Spider-Man is will not only face the Green Goblin but he’ll also go head to head with a slew of other legendary icons undergoing their own pseudo reinvention (speaking of which, go read Detective Comics #1, right now). But enough about all the intangibles lets jump into the review.
