Mark Ruffalo Compares THE AVENGERS to Fighting Hydrofracking in New York |

Speaking with The Capital, actor Mark Ruffalo, who've voiced his opposition to the proposal allowing hydrofracking in New York, further backed his opinion. However, this time he compared the opposition to his Incredible Hulk role in next year's The Avengers.
Actor Mark Ruffalo says his leading role in fighting hydrofracking in New York bears more than a passing resemblance to his leading role in the new Avengers movie. “The great thing about the Avengers and our superhero mythology is that they are people that fight for the common man over impossible odds, and for the betterment of the whole,” said Ruffalo, who plays the Incredible Hulk. “So in some ways, that whole mythology feeds into what I’m trying to do here.”
For those who don't know, Hydrofracking is a new development in natural gas extraction, which makes mining for natural gas in dense shale more economically possible, where before it was not. Read more: |
