Marvel Studios And Sony Pictures Already Discussing The Villain For SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING Sequel |

Spider-Man: Homecoming isn't released until next July, but with shooting now over, it appears as if plans for a sequel are already being put in place. Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures are clearly happy with their collaboration because Tom Holland shed some light on where things currently stand with the follow-up in a recent interview with WWD (via Spider-Man News) at the New York Film Festival.
"My next project, I can’t tell you about, but we’ve just finished ‘Spider-Man’ and we’re talking about the second one and who the villain is going to be and where we’re going," Holland revealed. A sequel was to be expected, but it's interesting that they're already discussing that. Sony planned on releasing new chapters of The Amazing Spider-Man franchise every two years though, so it's entirely possible that the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel could start shooting before that movie is even released!
