Beyond the 2014 release date and the so-far confirmed interstellar superhero roster, very little is known regarding the “big space epic” expansion of Marvel's cinematic universe, titled Guardians of the Galaxy. And while a director hasn't even been announced yet, an alleged summary of the movie's plot has already surfaced via two industry sites, Production Weekly and It's On The Grid. Focusing on the main concept, main character and main conflict, the plausible logline indicates the much-anticipated film will be about:
“A U.S. pilot who ends up in space in the middle of a universal conflict and goes on the run with futuristic ex-cons who have something everyone wants.”
Considering the two separate sources are considerably legit industry sites, the logline is plausible. Of course, we still must await confirmation. Anyhow, the “U.S. pilot” mentioned in the summary is likely Peter Quill, better known as Star-Lord.
