Mel Gibson Confirms SUICIDE SQUAD Sequel Talks; Additional Details Surface |

Even though Mel Gibson is on record describing Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice as "a piece of sh-t," a major report flew in yesterday afternoon revealing that Gibson was, oddly enough, Warner Bros.' top choice to helm their upcoming Suicide Squad sequel - taking over from original director David Ayer, who has shifted his focus to the Margot Robbie-led Gotham City Sirens.
Gibson has also previously expressed his feelings toward comic book movies, which weren't all that favorable, so it's definitely surprising to hear his name at the top of the list. However, Gibson himself confirmed talks last night during an appearance at a screening of his most recent directorial venture, Hacksaw Ridge, which is currently in the running for six Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Actor.
