Talking to Yahoo! Movies at the Toronto International Film Festival earlier this week, Michael Shannon (Take Shelter) has once again teased his role as 'General Zod' in director Zack Snyder's (300) highly anticipated reboot, Man of Steel. While the actor was spotted on set in what appeared to be a similar sort of costume to Henry Cavill's (Immortals) 'Superman', there has also been talk of a CGI enhance battle suit (perhaps similar to the one in the image below). However, one thing we DO know, is that his look won't be similar to that of Terence Stamp; the actor who faced off against Christopher Reeve in Superman 2.
Is there anything you can tell me about Zod?
He's a general. On a planet called Krypton. I don't know what to say about Zod. It's shrouded in secrecy. [Long pause.] He's a badass mofo.
